UNITED NATIONS

THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS

HUMAN WRONGS - The European Court of Human Rights is not living up to the reasons for its formation and to hide its shortcomings is totally unaccountable. Where any deviant country, giving England as an example, has denied its citizens the right to an effective remedy, how can any person living in that country have faith in any politician who does not do his or her best to remedy that situation.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a milestone document in the history of human rights. Drafted by representatives with different legal and cultural backgrounds from all regions of the world, the Declaration was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris on 10 December 1948 (General Assembly resolution 217 A) as a common standard of achievements for all peoples and all nations. It sets out, for the first time, fundamental human rights to be universally protected and it has been translated into over 500 languages.

Ever since signing up to this ideal the United Kingdom and other European countries have been doing their best to water down the Declaration, slowly turning Britain back into a Nazi like state. We say this because any diminution of the basic right of any citizen to redress of any wrong is a step in the wrong direction that can only lead to one thing.

It is a long road to get to a case to the United Nations, one next step in the fight against a world where anyone can abuse the rights of another with statute that does not honour the many fallen in the many concentration camps in Germany during World War Two.

EMPIRE BLUES - The Royal family and many politicians who are out of touch with the day to day reality of working for a living, naturally hark to the days when Britain had an Empire, but those days are long gone and rapidly fading with every move to drain the electorate. Domestic financial slavery is one of the signs of a ruling class trying to keep things as they were in the Colonial days when it was the colonies that were enslaved to pay for a lavish lifestyle in England.

MAX HASTINGS - The Queen as a young princess is seen in two cine film frames saluting in Nazi fashion but is too young to have been able to form a political opinion. In any event, Article 10 and any applicable laws then pertaining would have meant that even a Queen in waiting is allowed to express herself and mimic what was then more than likely something amusing, much like the goose step might seem to some onlookers and then copied to show others how daft it looks.
